If Charlize Theron could, she'd race back in time to stop doing this past trend.
The Fast X actress recently revealed one of her biggest beauty regrets, admitting that she would've pumped the brakes on plucking her eyebrows.
"Hands down," Charlize shared with InStyle in an interview published Aug. 30, "the thin eyebrows in the '90s."
And while that happened more than two decades ago, the 48-year-old noted she's still paying the price of tapping into the trend. As she put it, "I'm still recovering from that."
At the time, razor-thin arches were all the craze, with celebrities like Charlize, Jessica Alba, Kate Moss, Beyoncé and Jennifer Lopez (among many others) rocking the stylish look on and off the red carpet. In June, Bella Hadid made a convincing case to bring back the trend, however, it's safe to assume Charlize wouldn't give it another shot if it picked up steam again.
Although the Oscar winner has experimented with her beauty style over the years, she recently explained why she's more into embracing her looks than trying to fix them these days.
"I love that my face is changing and aging," she said in an interview with Allure earlier this month. "People think I had a facelift. They're like, 'What did she do to her face?' I'm like, 'Bitch, I'm just aging! It doesn't mean I got bad plastic surgery. This is just what happens.'"
If anything, Charlize pointed out the double standards women face when they get older.
"I've always had issues with the fact that men kind of age like fine wines and women like cut flowers," she continued. "I despise that concept and I want to fight against it, but I also think women want to age in a way that feels right to them."
But if there's one area of aging that she's had a hard time coming to terms with, it's her body.
"I wish I had my 25-year-old body that I can just throw against the wall and not even hurt tomorrow," she confessed. "Now, if I don't work out for three days and I go back to the gym, I can't walk."
Offering a gentle reminder, she added, "We need to be a little bit more empathetic to how we all go through our journey."
